There are countless numbers of auto accidents that occur due to driver’s indiscretion. Another occurrence on October 14, 2007, in the small town of Hilltown in Pennsylvania confirmed same.
A 76-year-old woman, Linda Budweg, of the Montgomery Township was killed after a pickup truck driver struck her vehicle in a head-on collision because he was distracted while putting his cigarette lighter back. This carelessness not only caused Ms. Budweg serious injuries, but it took her life.
She was pronounced dead shortly after she was flown to Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Besides her two children, Budweg, a widow, is survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
According to police Chief Chris Engelhart of the Hilltown police, John Nasuti, 33, was driving his pickup truck northbound on Green Street, when he lost control and partially left the road after being distracted as he was putting his cigarette lighter back.
Ms. Budweg was traveling southbound on Green Street when Nasuti’s truck struck her car head-on. The crash caused Nasuti’s truck to overturn. Although the accident is under investigation, the family of Ms. Budweg may consult with an accident attorney/lawyer regarding their options on this fatal truck/auto accident.
