Los Angeles resident Mr. Vincent Ibarra was driving with a teenager in a GMC Yukon. They were travelling westbound on Golden Springs Drive in Los Angeles County when the Yukon was hit on the right-side of the vehicle, injuring the passenger.
A vehicle operated by Steven Jinseon Kang was proceeding east bound on Golden Springs when Mr. Ibarra made a left turn at the intersection of Diamond Bar Boulevard and hit the Yukon.
Flying glass pieces became embedded in the teenager’s left eye, causing him to permanently lose his vision. The victim then sued GMC for an automobile defect claiming that had General Motors used laminated glass instead of the less-expensive tempered glass, the side passenger window of the GMC truck would not have shattered and would not have caused permanent and serious personal injury to himself.
General Motors Corporation agreed to an out-of-court settlement. To learn more, contact Houston Car Accident Lawyers at Williams Kherkher.
